🏫 BSc (Hons) in Physical Education – Aptitude Test 2025/2026

The University of Jaffna has officially opened applications for the Aptitude / Practical Test for admission into the Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physical Education Degree Programme for the academic year 2025/2026.

This programme is conducted by the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and will be offered in English Medium.

⚠️ Reality Check: A/L Results Alone Won’t Save You

Admission is NOT based only on your A/L results.

If you’re weak physically or lack sports ability, you will get filtered out.

👉 The aptitude test is the main selection weapon.

🎯 What the Aptitude Test Evaluates

You will be tested on:

  • 💪 Physical Fitness (Strength, Endurance, Flexibility)
  • 🏃 Sports Skills (Speed, Coordination, Performance)
  • 🎯 Practical Ability in Physical Education

If you’re not actively training, you’re already behind.

🏅 Sports Achievements = Extra Advantage

Your past sports record matters.

  • Marks are awarded for achievements
  • Submit certified copies of certificates
  • Higher-level competition = higher weight

👉 No achievements? Then your test performance must compensate HARD.

📌 Basic Eligibility Criteria

You must:

  • Have minimum university admission qualifications
  • Get at least 3 “S” passes in G.C.E A/L 2025
  • Be physically fit

📅 Important Dates (Don’t Miss These)

  • 🟢 Applications Open: 20 April 2026
  • 🔴 Closing Date (Online): 07 May 2026
  • 📬 Postal Submission Deadline: 09 May 2026

Miss deadlines = automatic rejection. No exceptions.

📢 Critical Instructions

  • Admission cards will be sent via Email ONLY
  • Incomplete applications = rejected instantly
  • Re-scrutiny candidates can also apply

👉 Translation: If you’re careless, you’re out.

🚀 Why This Test Exists (And Why It’s Brutal)

This isn’t theory.

They want candidates who:

  • Can perform physically
  • Have real sports skills
  • Can survive careers in sports, coaching, and PE

👉 If you think this is an “easy degree,” you’re already making a mistake.

🔗 Apply Now

🔑 Final Advice (Read This Twice)

Most applicants fail because:

  • They underestimate the physical test
  • They don’t train early
  • They rely only on A/L results

👉 If you want selection: Train now. Not later.
