📥 Part 1: Individual Result Sheet for A/L Admission Interview

Students attending a GCE Advanced Level admission interview may be required to submit a copy of their GCE O/L result sheet. You can download it immediately through the Department of Examinations' Exam Information Center — no need to wait for the school copy.

• Student's Full Name
• NIC Number (National Identity Card)
• Mobile Phone Number (for OTP)
• Email Address

How to Register & Download — Step by Step

Open the Portal

Go to the Department of Examinations' Exam Information Center using the official button below.

Create an Account

Select the registration option and enter your name, NIC number, mobile number, and email address accurately.

Confirm the OTP

An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter it to complete your registration.

Log In Again

Return to the portal, enter your NIC number, and request a new OTP to log in to your account.

Download the Result Sheet

Open the relevant result-sheet service on your dashboard, download the PDF, and print it for your interview.

Save a Copy

Save the PDF to your phone, email, or cloud storage (Google Drive / iCloud) for future reference.

ℹ️ About the School Result Sheet The school copy may be provided to schools only after the re-scrutiny or result-review process is complete. Do not delay your A/L admission process while waiting for it. Contact your school directly to check its availability. In the meantime, use the individually downloaded result sheet from the official portal.

🎓 Part 2: Applying for the Official Original Certificate

For education, employment, or other formal purposes, you can apply online for an officially recognised original GCE O/L certificate from the Department of Examinations. This is a separate service from downloading the result sheet.

📋 Important Rules Before You Apply

• The application must be submitted by the certificate holder personally.
• Enter NIC number, contact number, email, examination index number, and examination year correctly.
• Read the official instructions before making any payment.
• Payments made for obtaining a certificate are not refundable.
• Certificates for local purposes are delivered via Speed Post to the address provided.
• Certificates with withheld or "Not Decided – X" results cannot be issued through the online service.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the downloaded result sheet for my A/L admission interview?

Yes. The individually downloaded result sheet from the official Exam Information Center is accepted for GCE A/L admission interviews at schools.

Is the result-sheet download the same as the official certificate?

No. They are two separate services. The downloadable result sheet is for immediate use (e.g., admission interviews). The official original certificate must be applied for separately at certificate.doenets.lk.

What if I don't receive the OTP?

Ensure your mobile number is correctly entered and has network coverage. Wait a few minutes and try requesting a new OTP. Contact the Department of Examinations helpline if the issue persists.

My result has a "Not Decided – X" mark. Can I still get the official certificate?

No. Certificates containing withheld or "Not Decided – X" results cannot be issued through the online service. You need to resolve the result status first.

When will the school receive the result sheet?

The school copy may be distributed after the re-scrutiny and result-review process is complete. Check with your school directly for the latest update.

Are certificate application payments refundable?

No. All payments made for obtaining a certificate are non-refundable. Make sure all details are correct before paying.
